PRIMARY ELECTION | Update: Brown wins Democratic primary for Youngstown mayor

With 61 of 67 precincts reporting, Brown has 3,201 votes, or 57.4 percent. Ryan Kelly has 1,594, or 28.59 percent, and Julius Oliver has 781, or 14.01 percent.

YOUNGSTOWN —  Incumbent Jamael Tito Brown won the Democratic primary for Youngstown mayor, according to unofficial election results from the Mahoning County Board of Elections.

With 61 of 67 precincts reporting, Brown has 3,201 votes, or 57.4 percent. Ryan Kelly has 1,594, or 28.59 percent, and Julius Oliver has 781, or 14.01 percent. 

Brown is a lifelong resident of Youngstown and was elected Youngstown’s 51st mayor in 2017. He will face Republican Tracey Winbush and independent candidates in the November general election.
