BOARDMAN — Home Builders & Remodelers Association of the Valley's 70th annual Home & Garden Show takes place this weekend at Mr. Anthony's, 7440 South Ave.

Hours are noon to 8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free, courtesy of Banner Supply of Youngstown and WW Heating & Air of North Lima.

Home improvement professionals will be on hand, ready to help guide consumers. Those attending will have the opportunity to speak with HBA contractors and see the newest trends in the market.

Patrons can register to win outdoor Poly Furniture, including a glider, set of chairs and end tables courtesy of Pinewood Structures of Columbiana.

Steve Brewer, HBA president, says his organization worked with the Mahoning County Health Department to create a safe environment despite the coronavirus pandemic.

On Demand Occupational Medicine will provide temperature checks at the show entrance. Window Depot of Boardman will supply hand sanitizer.

Masks covering the nose and mouth will be required to enter the show, and proper social distancing will be maintained. Occupancy limits will be monitored.

Should a line form outside the entrance, Tabor’s Landscaping and Garden Center of North Lima will supply propane heaters to keep patrons warm.

In a news release, Brewer said the show will have a more open feel with wider aisles set up for proper social distancing.
