State hits 6,518 COVID-19 cases; no new deaths in the Valley

COLUMBUS — According to the latest figures Sunday from the Ohio Department of Health, the state is reporting 6,518 confirmed cases of the coronavirus.

There have been 417 confirmed cases in Mahoning County; 168 in Trumbull County; and 105 in Columbiana County.

Statewide, there have been 253 deaths, including 31 in Mahoning County; 8 in Trumbull; and 6 in Columbiana. Mahoning County's 31 reported COVID-19 deaths did not increase from Saturday and remains the highest among Ohio's 88 counties; Cuyahoga County is second with 23.

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Health on Sunday, there are 22,833 COVID-19 cases in the state which have led to 507 deaths.

There are 449 cases in Lawrence County with four deaths; 40 cases in Mercer County with no known deaths.
