YOUNGSTOWN — The United Pastors, Clergy and Community Leaders of Greater Youngstown Against the Violence will have a rescheduled Stop the Violence prayer walk at 2 p.m. Saturday.

People can begin to gather at 1:30 p.m. at the former Bottom Dollar Store parking lot, 2649 Glenwood Ave. The prayer walk will begin at the corner of Glenwood Avenue and Sherwood Avenue.

The walk will pray for peace in the city and against the violence that has infected neighborhoods, according to a news release.

The Stop the Violence campaign is continuing efforts that began with a prayer vigil June 23.

The campaign is also continuing 70 days of prayer and fasting through Aug. 31, distributing yard signs and recruiting mentors through the Community Initiative to Reduce Violence.
