Thrive Mahoning Valley co-director speaks to Rotary on Wednesday

YOUNGSTOWN — Christopher Tennant, a school-based behavioral health counselor with The Red Zone and co-director of Thrive Mahoning Valley, will speak at the next Rotary Club of Youngstown meeting Wednesday at Cassese’s MVR, 410 N. Walnut St.

Lunch begins at noon, and Tennant’s presentation begins at 12:30 p.m.

Tennant, of Youngstown, worked as a social worker and business development professional in the health care industry for more than 16 years. After earning his master’s degree in public health in 2017, he co-founded Thrive Mahoning Valley. 

Tennant serves on the development and marketing committee of the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley and is a member of the Resident Council for The Raymond John Wean Foundation. In 2019, he completed the Leadership Now: Ohio fellowship through Rockwood Leadership Institute.

He previously served as project consultant for City Club of the Mahoning Valley and board vice president of Inspiring Minds Youngstown. He was a steering committee member for the Healthy Community Partnership and also served on Mayor Jamael Tito Brown’s food policy committee.
