YOUNGSTOWN — The Millennial Theatre Company has scheduled auditions Thursday and Saturday for the return of the cult classic "The Rocky Horror Show."

Auditions will be held at Inspire Dance Center, 241 E. Marshall Road, McDonald, from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and noon to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Auditioners (age 16 and older) should prepare a 30 to 60 second cut of a song in the style of the show (preferably sheet music with chords). An accompanist will be provided.

There also will be a cold read from the script. The role of Columbia has been cast, but all other roles are open. Headshots and resumes are encouraged but not required.

All performers must be vaccinated against COVID-19 before rehearsals begin Sept. 7 in Youngstown. Proof of vaccination will be required before the first rehearsal.

"The Rocky Horror Show" follows the story of sweethearts Brad and Janet, stuck with a flat tire during a storm. They discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a transvestite scientist. As their innocence is lost, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker and a creepy butler. Through elaborate dances and rock songs, Frank-N-Furter unveils his latest creation: a muscular man named Rocky.

The show, directed by Joe Asente, will be performed as an immersive production at 7 p.m. Oct. 21 and 7 p.m. and midnight Oct. 22 and 23 at B&O Station in Youngstown.
