Trumbull tourism bureau wins national award for excellence
LOS ANGELES — The Trumbull County Tourism Bureau's 2020 Trumbull County Visitors Guide on Tuesday won a 2021 Destiny Award from the U.S. Travel Association.
The Destiny Awards recognize U.S. Travel destination members for excellence and creative accomplishment in destination marketing and promotion at the local and regional level, according to a news release last week on the bureau's selection as a finalist.
Entries are evaluated by judges from the national marketing field. The Trumbull County Visitors Guide was a finalist in the category of "Printed Collateral Material."
"Our staff and board have been extremely focused over the past three years to be more forward-thinking about the marketing and promoting of Trumbull County to visitors, residents and others considering a move to the area," Beth Kotwis Carmichael, Trumbull County Tourism executive director, is quoted in last week's news release.
"We are also grateful that we've been able to identify true partners who believe as strongly as we do in moving our mission and vision forward, which has been so important to our successes."
