Vocalist Lauren Faber to perform as part of McDonough Museum series

YOUNGSTOWN — Vocalist Lauren Faber will perform a virtual recital for the McDonough Museum Honors Recital Series at 7 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 6).

The recital will be available on the McDonough Museum and Cliffe College of Creative Arts YouTube channels.

Faber, a soprano, is a second-year graduate student at the Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University and is pursuing a master’s degree in vocal performance. She earned Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Arts degrees in vocal performance and communications at Westminster College.

Among the pieces Faber will perform are “Parad!” by Manuel García; “Il Faut Partir” from “La Fille du Regiment” by Gaetano Donizetti; “Je Suis Encor” from “Manon” by Jules Massenet; “Le Mariage des Roses” by César Franck; and “Laurie’s Song” from “The Tender Land” by Aaron Copland.

  • Mckenzie Cooper, flute and piccolo, 7 p.m. Feb. 20;
  • Sierra McCorvey, soprano, 7 p.m. Feb. 27;
  • Bruce Deal, tuba, 7 p.m. April 10;
  • Bin Peng, flute, 7 p.m. April 24.
