‘Teo Nguyen: Finding My Way’ exhibition to open at The Butler

YOUNGSTOWN — The Butler Institute of American Art will kick off its fall exhibition season Sunday with “Teo Nguyen: Finding My Way.”

The exhibition of large-scale, serene rural landscape paintings will be on view in the Lloyd Gallery and the Lipscher Gallery of American Scene Painting in the museum’s grand Beecher Court through Nov. 14.

A free meet-the-artist reception is scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. Sept. 26 in Beecher Court.

Artist Teo Nguyen lives and works in Minneapolis. His landscapes of the rural upper Midwest capture the vast space, boundless fields, big skies and chilling isolation distinctive to the region, particularly in winter, a news release states.

Admission to The Butler, 524 Wick Ave., and the exhibition is free. Face masks are required to enter the building. Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays.
