Youngstown City Schools CEO gets good rating in performance evaluation

YOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown City School District CEO Justin Jennings received high marks on his annual performance evaluation by the Academic Distress Commission.

Jennings received a 3.22 rating out of a possible 4. The commission listed 3 for the rating in the relationship with the ADC area, 4 in community relations, 3.25 in staff relations, 3.7 in instructional leadership and 3.25 in business and finance.

"I'm gratified that the commission sees the hard work we're doing and recognizes that," Jennings said in a news release. "We still have a lot of work to do, but we're definitely moving in the right direction."

The commission awarded Jennings a $10,000 performance bonus in accordance with his contract. The bonus is paid by the Ohio Department of Education.
