Youngstown schools receive 4 Personal Protected Quad-Sink stations

YOUNGSTOWN — Mahoning County commissioners have OK'd four Personal Protected Quad-Sink hand-washing stations to be placed at Youngstown City School District schools.

The commissioners used federal CARES Act funding to provide the hand-washing stations that were created by Personal Protected in New Middletown.

“Even though our scholars aren’t in class in our buildings right now, the Quad-Sinks will be used by our employees,” said CEO Justin Jennings in a news release. “Of course, they’ll get a lot of use from our scholars when they come back to school and things return to something closer to normal.

"The Quad-Sinks are an added health and safety measure and will give even more peace of mind.”

Each Personal Protected Quad-Sink offers four individual hand-washing areas, providing users with both privacy and social distancing.

The sinks use touchless operation.

One each will be positioned in the cafeterias at East and Chaney high schools and Choffin Career and Technical Center. The fourth station will be moved throughout the district as needed.

Each Quad-Sink is mobile and may be moved outside for district or school events.
