YOUNGSTOWN — As negotiating teams prepare to meet today, the union representing Youngstown State University faculty is setting up strike headquarters on Youngstown's North Side.

At a house on Elm Street, YSU-OEA members are making signs for a potential strike Monday. A strike vote opened to members Thursday at 5 p.m.

Negotiating teams for YSU-OEA and the YSU administration will meet today at 3 p.m. They last met Wednesday but got no closer to reaching an agreement to end the 10-month-long contract dispute.

The strike vote is open until 5 p.m. Saturday. If the strike is approved and an agreement is not reached, a strike will begin Monday, the first day of fall break at YSU.
