YOUNGSTOWN — YWCA Mahoning Valley, 25 W. Rayen Ave., will have job skills workshops to help job seekers navigate their careers.

The first workshop in 2020 will run from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday for three weeks (Jan. 6 to Jan. 24). There will be no class Jan. 20 in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The makeup date for that class is Jan. 24.

The workshops are open to both men and women who are at least 18 years old. Participants who successfully complete the workshops are eligible for up to $100 in incentives and stipends.

YWCA’s job skills workshops help participants increase their employability and remove barriers to gainful employment to meet the demands of a changing job market.

Job seekers will work with a coach and receive instruction in career exploration, resume writing and interview practice. Workshops also focus on job retention, stability and financial literacy. Participants will be able to visit area resources including Ohio Means Jobs and the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County’s Career and Job Center.
