YWCA receives more than $6,500 during special giving week

YOUNGSTOWN — YWCA Mahoning Valley raised more than $6,500 after being part of a special giving week boosted by the Community Foundation of Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio.

From July 25 to 31, the YWCA raised $5,135 and received a $1,510 match from the Community Foundation, which contributed a 29 percent match.

Funds raised by YWCA Mahoning Valley will be used for programs and services such as supportive housing, childcare, STEAM education, racial justice training and empowerment programming.
