The event venue, managed by cousins Nina Gabrelcik and Jennifer Wilson, opened its doors earlier this month with the goal of bringing a modernized open-space venue to the Trumbull County area.

The Purple Peacock consignment boutique celebrates two-year anniversary

Owner Leslie Schuler started the boutique after she saw a need for a store that specializes in recycled, reused and vintage items. The Purple Peacock also works with local vendors to sell locally made cards, soaps and candles.

Owner Zach Dean and his father, Craig Dean, head brewmaster, both served in the Army before starting the brewery. He said the bar was created in a way that would “immediately register” with almost every veteran.

The Canfield business has been a Mahoning Valley staple for 67 years since its establishment in1954 by Matt and Edith Haus. Today, it is run by the couple’s son, Matt and his wife Cheryl. The couple has co-owned the farm since 1982.
