BUSINESS UPDATES | Grata brothers join Greenwood’s Hubbard Chevrolet team
HUBBARD — Brothers Michael and Ryan Grata have joined the sales team at Greenwood's Hubbard Chevrolet, 2635 N. Main St.
Michael joins Greenwood as the new used-car manager, and Ryan is a sales and leasing specialist.
"Whenever you add individuals to an automotive sales team, it is important that [whoever] it is has a proven track record of sales experience, commitment to the community they work in and, most importantly, a positive reputation for being a good person," Denny Denoi, general manager of Greenwood's Hubbard Chevrolet, said in a news release.
"Adding both Michael and Ryan Grata to our family here at Hubbard Chevrolet brings all of those attributes, along with a family heritage of success in the automotive industry that is undeniable. We couldn't be happier to be associated with the success and reputation of the Grata family by welcoming Michael and Ryan to our team," Denoi said.
Michael previously was the general manager at Mel Grata Chevrolet and Toyota of Hermitage, Pa. He has 33 years of experience in various roles, including the body shop, sales, general sales manager and general manager.
Ryan previously was in sales and finance at Mel Grata Chevrolet and Toyota. He brings 13 years of experience to Greenwood's Hubbard Chevrolet.

Goodyear, Legal Aid to help
those with criminal records
Community Legal Aid and Goodyear are teaming up to offer a free online clinic for those looking to get a fresh start by sealing their criminal record.
The clinic will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today via Zoom.
"In order to attract businesses to our community, we have to have a workforce," Steven McGarrity, executive director of Community Legal Aid of central northeast Ohio, said in a news release. "When people have a criminal background, even if all their transgressions are in the past, and even if they are capable of performing the jobs, their hands are often tied with what kind of work they can do. It ends up stagnating growth for the community as a whole."
The issue has been further complicated by the COVID-19 pandemic, McGarrity said. The business shutdowns and layoffs earlier this year increased the number of people out of work.
