POLAND — Ecologist Kyle Filicky, a member of the Friends of Poland Forest, has produced a virtual wildflower walk through Poland Forest.

Poland Forest is famous for its spring wildflowers, especially its sea of Virginia Bluebells, now at their peak.

But the coronavirus pandemic has prevented the group from presenting its annual spring wildflower walks.

In response, Filicky created the wildflower walk video.

The video, available at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_nnJ08qDWc features detailed identification tips for more than 30 varieties of the Forest's wildflowers.

The mission of Friends of the Poland Municipal Forest is to protect the forest from harvest or development, and to preserve it in its natural state in so far as possible, as specified by original donor Grace Butler. New members are welcome.

More information is available from Dr. Lauren Schroeder at 330-770-4364 or Filicky at 330-559-6612
