BUSINESS UPDATES | Chester Family Dentistry implements system to reduce COVID-19 risk
WARREN — Chester Family Dentistry, 140 Highland Terrace Blvd., Suite C, has implemented an extraoral dental suction system to treatment rooms to reduce the risk of COVID-19 and aerosol transmitted disease exposure for patients and staff.
The suction units operate with aerosols being directed and sucked up within the unit. The units have three different filters and a UV sterilizing light.
"Trumbull County has been placed on the 'hotspot' list for COVID-19 cases, and our patients' safety is our top priority," Dr. Amy Caicco, co-owner and co-operator of Chester Family Dentistry, said in a news release.
The practice also follows all local, state, federal and American Dental Association guidelines for COVID-19, according to the release.
"Even though no cases have been traced to dental offices, Dr. Ana [Chester] and I always want to go the extra step. We care about our patients and staff and don't believe in doing just 'bare minimum' requirements," Dr. Caicco said.
Lisa Resnick joins

CANFIELD — Burgan Friedkin Commercial Group announced the addition of Lisa Resnick to its commercial real estate team.
Resnick is a residential real estate agent with Burgan Real Estate and a recipient of the President's Club Award in 2019 from the Youngstown Columbiana Association of Realtors.

Resnick, who graduated from Youngstown State University, began her real estate career on the commercial side at Lowe Enterprises, working in acquisitions, asset management, development and leasing for large-scale retail and office developments in the Washington, D.C., metro area. She returned to the Mahoning Valley in 2018 and joined Burgan Real Estate.
Resnick also has been active in the community. She launched initiatives such as Walk Youngstown, which seeks to grow the downtown area by making it more walkable and attractive for residents, and Homes & Hops, a podcast and video series highlighting local breweries, small businesses and the positive impacts they have on their surrounding neighborhoods. She is also a 2020 Athena Award nominee.

MCCTC Adult Career Center
students honored at ceremony
CANFIELD — Students in the Medical Office Specialist program at Mahoning County Career and Technical Center's Adult Career Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road, were honored during an outdoor recognition ceremony June 23, marking the completion of their training program.
The students were able to work toward earning multiple certifications throughout their
10-month training program.Certifications include:
- National Center for Competency Testing Medical Office Assistant Certification;
- American Medical Certification;
- Association Billing and Coding Specialist Certificate;
- Saunders Online HIPAA Certification;
- National CPR Foundation Healthcare CPR/AED Certificate;
- National CPR Foundation Standard First-Aid Certificate.
Gasoline prices down
2 cents in Northeast Ohio
YOUNGSTOWN — The average price for gasoline across Northeast Ohio is 2 cents cheaper this week at $2.15 per gallon, according to AAA East Central's Gas Price Report.
The average price for unleaded self-service gasoline in the Youngstown area is $2.16 per gallon.
