Washingtonville man indicted by grand jury for alleged role in Lisbon shooting death
According to information from the Columbiana County Prosecutor’s Office, a grand jury indicted a man for his alleged role in a shooting that led to the death of a man from Lisbon.
Christopher Mills, 43, lives in Washingtonville and has been indicted for complicity to aggravated murder and complicity to murder with a firearm specification.
The prosecutor’s office said the jury indicted Mills for helping 31-year-old Michael J. Blower of Salem cover up the shooting death of Rusty Steele, 40.
Steele was found shot in front of a residence on W. Spruce Street in Lisbon.
Mills is currently incarcerated on a one-million-dollar bond. The Washingtonville man is expected to be arraigned on August 31.
A jury trial has been set for January 23 of next year for Blower, who’s facing aggravated murder and murder with a firearm specification.
Prosecutor Vito Abruzzino credited the diligent work of the Lisbon Police Department for their investigation.
