According to the Western Reserve Transit Authority, some Warren customers will have to find a new ride starting in September.

WRTA reports that the Ohio Department of Transportation rewarded them with a grant in the spring of 2020 to provide transportation to several routes in Warren.

The ODOT grant expired and ODOT did not renew the funds WRTA needed to maintain the service.

WRTA announced some routes will be unavailable to bus riders starting Sept. 8 due to the loss of state funding.

Sept. 8 is the last day of service for the following Warren routes:

  • 70 Southeast
  • 71 North
  • 73 West
  • 74 Elm
  • 76 North Jackson

This change won’t affect service on the 28 Warren Express, which connects the city of Warren with Youngstown.

Call Trumbull County Transit at 330-675-2873 for alternative transportation options and visit the WRTA website.
