Jamil Wekhian is transforming a long-closed site on a quiet corner in Wellsville into a welcoming, convenient stop for residents and travelers.

Designed with convenience in mind, Big W Drive Thru is a locally owned and operated business in Wellsville.

Wekhian hosted a grand opening on Friday at the convenience store on 17th Street alongside the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber.

While final preparations and safety inspections are completed, the fuel pumps aren’t working yet at Big W Drive Thru.

Wekhian opened early to meet immediate community needs, like daily essentials and refreshments.

All of Big W Drive Thru’s renovation and construction work was completed by area companies.

The store has also hired Wellsville residents to operate and manage daily business, helping keep both jobs and economic benefit rooted in the community.

“We wanted this project to be about more than just a store,” Wekhian said. “By working with local contractors and hiring local employees, we’re investing in Wellsville’s future. We’re grateful for the warm welcome we’ve received and are excited to serve our neighbors for years to come.”

Once fuel service is added, the location will become a full-service stop for snacks, beverages, everyday essentials and gasoline.

Wekhian’s drive-thru service allows customers to quickly pick up what they need without leaving their vehicles.
