Oak Hill Collaborative bringing back Raspberry Pi workshops
The Oak Hill Collaborative again will be offering in-person Raspberry Pi workshops to local schools and organizations.
The workshops were suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Raspberry Pi is a small, low-cost computer that was developed to teach basic computer science in schools and developing countries, a news release states. In the workshops, participants learn how to build and program a Raspberry Pi computer and get to take it home when they are finished. Each workshop consists of six 1-hour sessions.
“We’re excited to announce that we will offer Raspberry Pi workshops at Summit Academy and Youngstown Community School starting in April, and we have capacity to conduct additional school workshops this year,” Pat Kerrigan, executive director of the Oak Hill Collaborative, said in the release.
Schools and other organizations interested in learning more about the Raspberry Pi workshops, including the cost to offer their own on-site workshop, can call Kerrigan at 330-518-5884.
