BUSINESS UPDATES | Junior Achievement to present Youth Market Day at Eastwood Mall

Junior Achievement of Mahoning Valley will host a Youth Market Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 30 at Eastwood Mall in Niles.

During the event, young entrepreneurs will offer their products and services to the public. The entrepreneurs will be responsible for their table setup, product sales and interacting with customers.

Customers will have the opportunity to vote on their favorite business, and awards will be given to the winners in three categories: People’s Choice Award, Best of Show-Most Creative and Best Product-Most Original.

The winners will receive a $50 mall gift card, and the winner of the People’s Choice Award will receive a kiosk rent-free for a limited time.

Choffin to host open house to showcase program

Choffin Career & Technical Center will host an open house from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday to showcase its enhanced Interactive App & Game Design program.

The program is designed for the areas of entertainment, arts and technology and prepares students for opportunities in industries such as game design, app design, film, architectural visualization, artificial intelligence and augmented and virtual reality, a news release states.

During the open house in Room 228 at the center, 200 E. Wood St., Youngstown, attendees will have the opportunity to see students at work and meet program instructors and stakeholders, the release states.

Blessed Beyond Measures to celebrate grand opening

Blessed Beyond Measures, 220 E. Market St., Warren, will celebrate its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 3 p.m. Friday.

The shop is a faith-based boutique that offers a variety of women’s clothing, shoes and accessories. The shop, owned by Aneasha Muhammad, also offers spiritual prayer sessions if needed.

“I hope to achieve great relationships near and far through engagement with fashion,” Muhammad said in a news release.

Coldwell Banker EvenBay Real Estate welcomes Joshua Hall

Coldwell Banker EvenBay Real Estate recently welcomed Realtor Joshua Hall to its team of real estate professionals.

Hall earned an associate’s degree in business management technology from Kent State University at Trumbull and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Kent State University’s School of Business, a news release states.

Hall, who received his Ohio real estate license in 2021, also works in a management position at Harbor Freight. He spent 13 years in the Army and achieved the rank of staff sergeant in the Army Corps of Engineers. He was deployed once to Iraq and twice to Afghanistan, the release states.
