Modern Methods Brewing Co. is introducing a new beer that will help support Kent State Trumbull Theatre.

Ghost Light Porter is “a classic American porter brewed with six different specialty malts for a complex flavor profile evoking chocolate, hints of nuts, and finishing with dark fruit,” a news release states. A portion of each beer sold will support the theater.

Ghost Light Porter, available on draft, in cans and through wholesale accounts, will debut at this month’s Sips and Scripts event from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Modern Methods Brewing, 125 David Grohl Alley, Warren. The event will feature the reading of Edward J. Walsh’s “Hey! Where’s Charlie?” A 50/50 raffle will benefit the theater.

Sips and Scripts events take place on the first Wednesday of each month.
