“Affordable options for entire family.” Boardman clothing store honors daughter’s memory
Jessie Winphrie is honoring the memory of his daughter who lost her battle to cancer by welcoming community members to Mr. Jay’s Closet.
Winphrie’s family-focused business started earlier in November, but Winphrie is hosting a ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration with the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber on Tuesday.
“If you don’t got family, you don’t really got nothing. You can’t do it without a team,” Winphrie said. “We put a team together, and we put our minds together, and we came up with this.”
The grand opening celebration is starting at 2 p.m. at the store, located at 4039 Hillman Way in Boardman.
The event is open to everyone who wants to see what’s for sale at Mr. Jay’s Closet, which sells perfume, jackets, shoes, purses, sweatpants, hoodies and more.
“The store is a testament to the spirit of community and the power of coming together to achieve a common goal,” Winphrie said. “Mr. Jay’s Closet promises a warm and welcoming shopping experience for everyone, with a variety of stylish and affordable options for the entire family.”
Mr. Jay’s Closet is open from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Sunday.
