Local ice cream shop opening early for National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day

A Mahoning Valley ice cream shop is opening early and serving ice cream for breakfast on Saturday in honor of National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day.

Cockeye Creamery will open at 8 a.m. on Saturday Feb. 1 and will be serving a special WonderWaffle flavor along with waffle cones.

“We’re doing something different this weekend at Cockeye Creamery - ice cream for breakfast, “ the company stated. “This Saturday, Feb. 1, we’ll be opening the shop early to celebrate Ice Cream for Breakfast Day. We’ll have a brand-new ice cream for you to try ‘WonderWaffle’ and we’ll be serving up waffle cones all morning.”

WonderWaffle is dreamy blend of cinnamon, vanilla, and nutmeg packed with sliced bananas, a swirl of Nutella, and a cinnamon-waffle crunch and pairs perfectly with a fresh-baked waffle cone.
