Mahoning Valley couple find success in entertainment, wellness & real estate industries

“Make a plan, invest in yourself and use all resources.”

That’s just some of the advice one Mahoning Valley couple said attributed to their finding success in local entertainment, wellness and real estate industries.

Terrill and Ashley Vidale met 14 years ago, and now they’re co-owners of several businesses including 2 Deep Entertainment and Sapphire Aesthetics and Wellness.

Ashley is now the CEO of Sapphire Aesthetics and Wellness medical spa, located at Prosper Center at 15 Boardman-Canfield Road, which opened in 2022.

Expanding gems: Sapphire Aesthetics and Wellness coming to Trumbull County

Ashley became a nurse practitioner in 2014, then trained to get certifications from the National Laser Institute and the American Academy of Facial Aesthetics as an advanced injector.

Then in 2018, she had the idea to start an all-inclusive, high-end clinic for body sculpting, fillers and IV hydration in Mahoning County.

“Terrill has the eye for finding a space, seeing the potential in it. His vision comes with the architecture and the structure, the layout and finding the co-tenants we have,” Ashley said.

“Sapphire is a safe space. It’s a neutral space where anyone of all races, of all backgrounds, can feel comfortable coming in here and be treated well,” she said. “My team is the bomb.”

According to Terrill, the property on Boardman-Canfield Road was empty for about 10 years.

“We put a lot of leg work into this. We want not just our clients to feel treated like a gem, but we want our employees to be treated like a gem,” Terrill said.

Sapphire Aesthetics and Wellness is going to expand to a second location this September at the couple’s new property: Prosper Place on Niles Cortland Road in Trumbull County.

“I’m originally from Liberty in Trumbull County; it’s an amazing up-and-coming area. I’m excited to bring a different type of aesthetic practice into the area,” Ashley said.

Ashley said current clients in Trumbull County encouraged her to expand to their area.

“We saw the opportunity there to bring a different type of aesthetic practice into that area. We have clients who travel from Trumbull County out here to us now, and they were a driving force as well,” she said.

Building a business from the ground up, starting with 2Deep Entertainment

Terrill and Ashley are getting ready to open Prosper Place in Niles, but with their prior experience building businesses from scratch, they said they’re up for the challenge.

“We started our entertainment business. My wife’s been there from, you know, the beginning of that as well. The entertainment business taught me that you have to be willing to be comfortable with the word ‘no,’” Terrill said.

They’ve been working together to building businesses and trust with clients.

“When my wife came to me with this, it wasn’t so scary, because I was like, ‘Oh, I’ve been here before. I’ve done this before. Let’s just do it,’” he said. “Business is business. Everything is all about customer service and how you treat your customer.”

With work to do every day in three totally different industries, Terrill said every day is exciting.

“I love working with my wife,” he said. “One minute I’m talking about Botox, filler, body sculpting and cellulite. Then the next call I’m talking about doing this big concert with some big celebrity. Then the next call is ‘We need to fix that garbage disposal.’ It keeps it exciting. I’ve always wanted to figure out ways to create value in my community.”
