New chicken and fish eatery now open in the Mahoning Valley

A new restaurant specializing in chicken and fish is now open in the Mahoning Valley.

Momma’s Kitchen held its grand opening on Saturday in Youngstown. The restaurant calls itself the “home of the bbq fish” and offers menu items such as wing ding dinner and plain or barbecued perch, whiting, or catfish.

Customers can also choose from a variety of extras and sides including fried okra, mac and cheese, green beans, baked beans, and more.

The business started as a food truck in 2024 and expanded to a brick and mortar. Owner Richard Armstrong said they will open the food truck again in the spring and run both businesses.

Momma’s Kitchen is at 3920 Hillman Way in Youngstown. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 7 p.m.
