Gordon Ramsay visits northeast Ohio reportedly filming new FOX reality TV show
Reality and competitive cooking show fans spotted a British celebrity chef filming in northeast Ohio, specifically in Trumbull and Cuyahoga counties.
As part of the new show called Gordon Ramsay Secret Service, Ramsay and crew were spotted by fans at Lyla’s Family Restaurant in Cuyahoga Falls.
Reports from Cortland News and other local sources indicate Ramsay’s Secret Service film crew is in Trumbull County to renovate the 4-Star Diner in Cortland.
The Scottish-born star of FOX’s Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares learned his skills in London and owns 90 restaurants around the world, including 32 in the U.S.
According to a TV Insider interview with Ramsay, the new show is a combination of all the previous work on FOX over the last two decades.
“The week before I get [to each restaurant], I sneak in the early hours of the morning with state-of-the-art equipment,” Gordon told Damian Holbrook.
During the new episodes of Secret Service, Ramsay infiltrates restaurants around the U.S. and gets the scoop from an undisclosed inside source and hidden cameras.
According to a 2015 Vindy article, the 4-Star Diner is named after the “four stars” in owner Gus Kouvas’ life, including his wife and co-owner Avgi.
Secret Service premiered on Fox May 21 and episodes are streaming on Hulu.
