Trumbull County roller skating rink sold for $700,000, new arcade games added

The Cortland Roller Rink is under new ownership, according to the rink’s social media and the Trumbull County Auditor’s website.

The new owner is Suds Equity Inc. from Sparks, Nevada, who bought the rink for $700,000 in June.

Bradley Armstrong is the president of Suds Equity Inc., founded in 1998.

“We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to bring fresh life, energy, and fun into the space you all know and love,” the Cortland Roller Rink wrote on Facebook.

The roller skating rink was built in 1975 and remodeled in 1980, spanning 3.3 acres at 290 South High St. in Cortland.

In 2020, ownership shifted over to Skate Estate LLC, who purchased the Cortland Roller Rink for $500,000 from Ruth and Vincent J. DiGiacobbe.

The DiGiacobbes owned the Cortland Roller Rink for 52 years, and operated their own pizza shop called DiGiacobbes Pizza in Cortland.

Visit the Cortland Roller Rink to skate and play arcade games from 6 - 10 p.m. Friday, from 2 - 5 p.m. and 6 - 10 p.m. Saturday and 3 - 6 p.m. on Sunday.

The rink also hosts Senior Skate from 10 a.m. - noon every Tuesday and Adult Skate for guests age 18 and older at 7 - 10 p.m. Sunday at 290 S. High St. in Cortland.
