The Village of East Palestine welcomes Elite Pharmacy to the community
The Village of East Palestine recently announced that Elite Pharmacy will open its newest location in town this August, helping restore essential pharmacy services for residents and reaffirming that East Palestine is open for business.
Following the departure of large national chains, many rural communities – including East Palestine – have faced significant healthcare access challenges. The arrival of Elite Pharmacy represents a major step forward, bringing personalized, locally focused care back to town, according to city officials.
Elite Pharmacy is an independently owned business led by Dan Jones and Jacob Sweet. The East Palestine location will be their fourth pharmacy in Ohio, and their first in Columbiana County.
Services at the new Elite Pharmacy location will include free prescription delivery, vaccinations, medication packaging, compounding, a wide range of over-the-counter products, and acceptance of most insurance plans.
The new Elite Pharmacy location is at 49 E Taggart St, East Palestine, Ohio. For more information, visit www.elitepharmacy.com.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Elite Pharmacy to East Palestine,” said Village Manager Antonio Diaz-Guy. “This is a strong sign of confidence in our community, and a meaningful investment that directly improves the quality of life for our residents.”
Committed to the Community
Although the owners don’t live in East Palestine, Jones and Sweet have expressed their commitment to becoming an active part of the town’s future. “We plan to shop, eat, and support other small businesses every chance we get,” said Jones. “We’re honored to serve the people of East Palestine.”
Elite Pharmacy will also have a presence at the upcoming Sesquicentennial Celebration, where residents can visit their booth to meet the team and learn how to transfer prescriptions locally.
A Grand Opening event will follow later this summer, featuring food, family-friendly activities, and an opportunity to connect with the Elite team. The Village hopes to welcome local and state leaders to help mark the occasion.
A Message of Momentum
City officials said this exciting news is part of a broader message: People are investing in East Palestine. From infrastructure improvements to new businesses, momentum continues to build, and the Village is committed to supporting both longtime residents and new partners in progress.
“East Palestine is strong, and getting stronger,” added Village Manager Diaz-Guy. “This isn’t just about opening a pharmacy – it’s about expanding access, investing in our future, and proving that East Palestine is not only resilient, but ready to grow.”
