New Niles store opening in August as outdoor apparel retailer expands in Ohio
A new TJ Maxx brand outlet store specializing in discounted outdoor apparel and merchandise is opening in Howland Township in early August, and they’re looking to hire associates to manage day-to-day operations.
The sixth Sierra store in Ohio is set to open at 2356 Niles-Cortland Road in Howland Commons, located in Niles.
The grand opening of the new 18,500-square-foot Niles Sierra outlet store is scheduled for 8 a.m. on Aug. 9, featuring giveaways and a chance to win a Sierra gift card.
Amanda Johnson is the assistant vice president and marketing director Sierra.
“The new store will allow Niles residents to discover even more ways to stay active this summer and beyond in ways that fit their lifestyle and budget,” she said.
Mahoning Valley shoppers are invited to browse end-of-summer outdoor adventure supplies like bike helmets, camping tents, river kayaks and hiking accessories that are discounted by 20% - 60% compared to full-price retailers.
“At Sierra, our goal is to bring communities extraordinary prices on the active apparel, footwear and gear they need to make the most of the activities they love doing every day,” Johnson said.
Sierra is also accepting applications online for full-time and part-time store associates at the Niles store.
To support the local community in Niles, Sierra donated $10,000 to Trumbull Mobile Meals.
There are 128 Sierra stores currently open in the U.S. Sierra was founded in 1986 and is part of the TJX Companies, Inc. which also includes Marshalls, TJ Maxx and HomeGoods.
