Mahoning Valley pizza shop closes after 60 years in community

A popular Mahoning Valley pizza shop has closed its doors after 60 years in business. Carmen’s Pizza announced via Facebook that they are no longer is business as of Aug. 9.

In the Facebook post the owners wrote that Carmen’s Pizza has had the honor of serving the Warren and surrounding communities for the past 60 years.

“The Dalton family has been privileged to have been a part of Carmen’s for the last 20 years of that existence. It has been a pleasure serving the customers and community over that time,” the post read. “When we took over, the primary goal was to keep the standards set by previous ownerships to the standards that had been set.”

The post went on to say the secondary goal was to be able to pass along the business to a new or different ownership to continue the Carmen’s legacy.

“For the past few years we’ve had the business on the market with no takers and sadly this is the end of our time,” it read.

The owners stated they are open to any reasonable acquisition offers for the building, business or property.
