Warren practice transitioning to new location in Niles as part of next chapter
John N. Billock is a longtime certified and licensed prosthetist whose Warren practice has been acquired by Leimkuehler Orthotic–Prosthetic Center, based in Niles.
Billock has cared for patients in northeast Ohio for over 62 years as the clinical director at Warren’s Orthotics & Prosthetics Rehabilitation Engineering Centre.
“I am proud to see the practice I built over five decades transition to Leimkuehler Orthotic–Prosthetic Center,” Billock said. “Their reputation for innovation and compassionate patient care ensures our patients will continue to receive the highest quality service for years to come.”
Bilock will stay involved as an upper extremity specialist and advisor at the office which will move to Niles as part of the acquisition with Leimkuehler.
Paul E. Leimkuehler is a third-generation leader in the area’s orthotics and prosthetics. He’s the grandson of the founder of the company, a World War II veteran and transfemoral amputee.
“We will continue the exemplary care of John Billock and Orthotics & Prosthetics Rehabilitation Engineering Centre,” Leimkuehler said. “We will grow our care in the community and expand our pediatric orthotic and prosthetic services.”
The Niles office will be supported by Josh Green, coordinator for amputee care and outreach.
As a right above-knee amputee since the age of four, Green brings invaluable insight into the challenges and triumphs of living with a prosthesis. He is dedicated to supporting and empowering individuals with limb loss through education, mentorship and community outreach.
Kevin Hawkins, manager of the Leimkuehler Orthotic–Prosthetic Center office in Niles, is a board-certified prosthetist with more than 40 years of clinical experience. His passion for prosthetics is rooted in helping patients regain mobility and achieve activity levels they never thought possible.
