6 indoor pickleball courts installed in former Joann Fabrics in Trumbull County

Pickleball is one of America’s fastest-growing sports, according to Pickleheads.

Pickleball players won’t have to hang up their paddles once winter comes, thanks to a new indoor pickleball court coming to Trumbull County in October.

Skylar and Lindsay Coulter own The Dink Yard, opening in Boulevard Centre in the first week of October between Regal Cinema and Pet Supplies Plus.

The family-owned facility combines entertainment and fitness with six professional-grade courts open all year, offering private lessons and clinics with experts.

Opening day is Oct. 1 at The Dink Yard at 5555 Youngstown Warren Road in the unit at the Eastwood Mall Complex which used to be JoAnn Fabrics.

The Coulters are inviting the community to check out the courts from Oct. 1 through Oct. 4 with open-play sessions in the evenings for five dollars.

There is also a pre-sale special running through Sept. 30 where new members can get their first month of a premier membership for $30.

In the future, the family plans on organizing tournaments and setting up leagues for local players of all skill levels. Learn more on The Dink Yard’s website.
