Family bringing modern Puerto Rican dishes to Boardman with third restaurant

Boardman residents won’t need to wait much longer for Puerto Rican favorites like loaded pork bowls, desserts, pastelillos and coquito in their area.

Red Rican is a family-owned business started by the three Morales brothers who grew up in a family restaurant.

They started out in food trucks before opening two restaurants in Niles and Campbell, while still bringing the truck and a dessert trailer to local festivals, fairs and breweries.

The third Red Rican restaurant is set to open at 270 Boardman Canfield Road in Boardman.
