Family-owned development agency in Canfield buys former Youngstown Propane site
A locally based and family-owned development group focused on hospitality acquired a Canfield Township property at the end of 2025, adding another site to their growing list of local properties.
Naffah Development LLC, also known as Naffah Hospitality Group, now owns the former Youngstown Propane store at 4445 Boardman-Canfield Road, according to records from the Mahoning County Auditor’s Office.
Naffah Hospitality Group purchased the 7,425-square-foot retail store, built in 1985, for $1.1 million from 4J Energy LLC.
The sale was finalized on Dec. 23, according to the online records.
At the beginning of 2025, Youngstown Propane relocated its operations fully from the Canfield Township showroom back into its original location at 810 N. Meridian Road in Austintown.
Founded over 35 years ago, the Naffah Hospitality Group is a multi-business, family-operated group based in Canfield.
Naffah owns several businesses and properties around the Mahoning Valley area, including the Hampton Inn & Suites Youngstown-Canfield, Embassy Banquet Centre, Ironwood Commons, Adamas Square plaza, the Villas on Macy Lane and more.
The day-to-day operations are still coordinated by the family leadership, with founder Assad’s son Michal Naffah as president.
