One Hot Cookie’s new owner bringing dessert shop to Eastwood Mall in Niles

The owner of two local dessert shops made the decision to close one location in anticipation of a new beginning at the Eastwood Mall.

Around the end of 2025, the Boardman dessert shop’s former manager, Heather Huff, acquired One Hot Cookie, which was started in 2013.

As the new owner, Huff said she decided to close the One Hot Cookie shop in Hermitage due to a lack of foot traffic and business in the area.

She said everything is on track to open the new location at the Eastwood Mall in Niles by the first week of May.

Customers can still place orders for One Hot Cookie online or at 1315 Boardman-Canfield Road in Boardman.

The Boardman shop is open from noon - 9 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and noon - 8 p.m. on Sunday.
