Roemer Industries set to unveil state-of-the-art etching equipment in Masury
Roemer Industries has been a manufacturer of custom metallic nameplates, labels and tags for industrial companies for the last 80 years in Masury.
On April 27, Romer is hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the expansion of its manufacturing capabilities after investing in new state-of-the-art equipment.
The XLi-40 Ferric Chloride Etch System from Chemcut is an etching system “engineered for the future’s highly technical requirements,” according to Chemcut.
Jill Palumbo is the chief operating officer at Roemer Industries.
“Collaborating with the Chemcut team on this installation was a seamless experience. From initial site preparation through final calibration, their technical expertise and clear communication made the entire process highly efficient. This new capability positions us to scale our operations and deliver even greater value to our customers,” Palumbo said.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony is starting at 10 a.m. at 1555 Masury Road in Masury.
The XLi-40 etching system processes thin, delicate materials using Ferric Chloride, a compound of iron and chlorine. This compound is “the most common and reliable etchant” for manufacturers like Roemer Industries, according to Andre Taki with Alliance Chemical.
Jerry Reitz is the vice president for Chemcut Corp.
“The XLi is a time-proven platform that balances high-precision etching with the flexibility needed for today’s chemical milling needs and the highly technical requirements of the future,” Reitz said. “This system will enable our customers to advance their manufacturing capabilities with unparalleled reliability.”
