BMW iX Has Several Attractive Lease Offers This May
The 2026 BMW iX in a Nutshell
Like it or not, the iX opened many doors for BMW in the electric vehicle market. It was, most certainly, a bold statement to the world that the folks from Munich are taking the EV market seriously. As such, it looked like an experiment, mainly because it was and still is. Nonetheless, it showcased BMW's readiness in the EV market by serving as a technology showcase one could buy.
Making its world premiere in 2021 for the 2022 model year, the iX is BMW's first mass-market EV, and it was followed by a barrage of models right after. A steady (but not spectacular) seller for the company, the polarizing-looking EV was given a massive update for the 2026 model year, featuring refreshed looks, more tech, enhanced powertrains, and greater range.
2026 BMW iX Lease Deals for May
All iX trims are available with lease deals this month. It starts with the xDrive45 model at $699 for 36 months with $5,259 due at signing. Qualified customers can also avail of the loyalty credit worth $2,000, so there are some savings to be made here. As with any BMW for lease, it's $0.30 per mile for exceeding the total mileage limit of 30,000 miles. These offers are available until June 1, 2026.
2026 BMW iX Highlights
Prices for the 2026 BMW iX kick off at $75,150 for the xDrive45, and go up to $88,500 for the xDrive60. As for the M70, it'll set you back at lease $111,500. Regardless of trim, all iXs get a good amount of standard equipment. On the comfort side, there are heated seats, driver memory settings, and a heated steering wheel. Other features include adaptive headlights, an Iconic Glow grille, a panoramic sunroof, a parking assistant, and advanced driving assists.
Changes for 2026 include a revamped front end with a simpler, cleaner look. A couple of interior revisions were also made, and new wheel options are now available. That being said, the iX won't be long for the U.S. market, and the 2026 model will have an abbreviated run as the iX3 will be taking its place.
So, while you can still buy/lease it, you have three powertrain choices. Starting with the xDrive45, it makes 402 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque, along with a 100.1 kWh battery. The xDrive60 raises the output to 536hp and 564 lb-ft, and gets a larger 113.4kWh pack. At the top is the M70 with 610 hp and 811 lb-ft of torque, and it has a battery capacity of 112.3kWh.
Final Thoughts
The interesting and polarizing-looking tech showcase will be no more soon. Still, the iX is a significant model for BMW, highlighting its readiness in the ever-changing EV market. Go beyond the looks, and this electric crossover is one of the most surprising cars to drive out there with a good combination of comfort, dynamics, and performance. As the sun sets on this model, there might be even better deals in the coming months.
