Sassy Savings celebrates expansion of products in Mahoning Valley

Alexis Sigurani is the owner of Girard’s discount sanctuary, Sassy Savings, where community members find new, name-brand products at a low price.

Sigurani’s business focuses on providing everyday essentials and home products for less while helping her neighbors save money.

She recently celebrated the successful expansion of available products and access at Sassy Savings with a giveaway during a special ribbon-cutting.

“We were able to expand in our freezer and cooler area along with our dry goods,” she said. “We have a 99-cent area. We have eight freezers now, two coolers and weekly produce. Being able to provide that for the community in itself is awesome.”

Visit Sassy Saving at 600 N. State St. in Girard, where Sigurani has been operating since 2023.

“Now we’re able to accept EBT,” she said. “We wanted to give back to everyone for helping us be able to stay open.”

When she first started out, Sigurani had two employees helping her run the family-owned business.

Now the total number of people working for Sassy Savings has grown to 11 team members.

“I am hoping with everything working out, we’ll be able to expand into a bigger warehouse. Then from the warehouse, I’m hoping that we’ll be able to add a second location within the next two to five years,” Sigurani said.

Sassy Savings is open from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Sunday.
