Dr. Bruce Vanderhoff, Ohio Department of Health director, will give an update on COVID-19 in the state at 11 a.m. Thursday.

He will be joined by Chris Cook, assistant health commissioner for Clark County Combined Health District; and Dr. Kevin Sharrett, medical director for rural health at Kettering Health.

The Ohio Department of Health on March 17 reported 3,011 new COVID-19 cases statewide. That includes 108 new cases in the Mahoning Valley: 37 new cases in Mahoning County (for a total of 53,217), 49 in Trumbull (41,375) and 22 in Columbiana (24,322), according to the state’s COVID-19 dashboard.
