Dr. Bruce Vanderhoff, Ohio Department of Health director, will give an update on COVID-19 and monkeypox in the state at 11 a.m. Thursday.
He will be joined by Dr. Michael Forbes, chief academic officer at Akron Children’s Hospital, and Dr. Joe Gastaldo, medical director of infectious diseases at OhioHealth.
There are 75 reported cases of monkeypox in Ohio, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The latest COVID-19 statistics can be be found on the state’s COVID-19 dashboard.
