Trumbull County Combined Health District to host 3 COVID-19 vaccination clinics this week
The Trumbull County Combined Health District will host three COVID-19 vaccination clinics at various locations in the county this week.
The Moderna, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available, as well as the Novavax vaccine, which requires two doses separated by a minimum of three weeks.
The clinics are offering mRNA bivalent boosters, “which strengthen protection against the original COVID-19 strain, as well as the currently circulating omicron variant,” a news release states. Recipients must have completed a primary series or received their most recent booster at least two months prior to be eligible to receive the bivalent booster. Recipients must be age 12 and older to receive the Pfizer bivalent booster, and age 18 or older to receive the Moderna bivalent booster.
Clinics are scheduled for:
- Monday: 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Niles SCOPE Center, 34 W. State St., Niles;
- Tuesday: 5 to 7 p.m., Campbell Apartments, 3070 W. Market St., Warren;
- Thursday: 5 to 7 p.m., Trumbull Community Action Program, 1230 Palmyra Road SW, Warren.
An appointment isn’t necessary, the release states. To speed up the check-in process, recipients are encouraged to visit the health district’s website to download, print and complete the COVID-19 Vaccine Administration Record form and bring it to the clinic. If you are receiving your additional or booster dose, bring your vaccine card with you to your appointment.
If you are under an Ohio managed care Medicaid plan, you may be eligible to receive a gift card through the mail for a Moderna or Pfizer booster, the release states. Information will be provided at the clinic.
Ages of eligibility are 12 and older for the Pfizer vaccine, 6 months to 11 years for the Pfizer pediatric vaccine and 18 and older for the Moderna, Johnson & Johnson and Novavax vaccines.
Flu shots are also available at the clinics.
