Murder investigation underway after man shot to death in Youngstown, according to police

A murder investigation is underway in Youngstown after a man was shot to death, according to the Youngstown Police Department.

On Thursday at approximately 7:36pm, the Youngstown Police responded to 2737 Griselda regarding a person shot, according to police.

When officers arrived they observed a male victim laying near the front doorway with multiple gunshot wounds to the body and began attempting life saving measures until the arrival of EMT, according to reports.

The man succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced deceased, according to police.

Officials said the Detective Bureau, Crime Scene Unit, and the Coroner’s Office were requested and arrived on scene to investigate. Evidence was collected and information gathered which will need to be processed.

Officials said D/S Skowron and D/S Anderson will be investigating the case with Skowron serving as the lead.
