Youngstown Police Department investigate shooting death, arrest suspect on scene
The Youngstown Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one man dead.
Officials said on Sunday, June 7, officers were called to the 200 block of Benita Ave. for the shooting. When officers arrived they found a man dead from multiple gun shot wounds, according to a police report.
The suspect was at the scene of the crime and turned himself into officials.
The Detective Division, Crime Lab, and Mahoning County Coroners Office were requested and arrived on scene to investigate.
Officials said the suspect was placed under arrest for murder and transported to the Mahoning County Jail.
