YOUNGSTOWN — The man behind the city's popular brunch spot Kitchen Post is opening a pizza shop.

Pizza Boy is the latest venture of former Kitchen Post co-owner and executive chef Ross Fowler. According to the restaurant's Instagram account, Pizza Boy will open soon in Poland Village.

It will serve thin, crispy pizzas, focaccia-style pizzas and soft-serve ice cream.

Kitchen Post unceremoniously closed in February. It opened more than five years ago in Struthers and moved to Erie Terminal in 2018.

Fowler hinted at his new venture in the post announcing the closure of Kitchen Post.

"Recently I've found that making pizza is the most gratifying thing I've ever done in my entire career ... I hope to see you all at my pizza shop. Thank you," the post read.
