WRTA Holiday Bus is ready to roll
YOUNGSTOWN — The Western Reserve Transit Authority's Holiday Bus made its 2019 debut Monday as it pulled into the parking lot of the Newport branch of the Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County, 3730 Market St.
The festive bus is decorated on both the outside and inside, and holiday music adds to the atmosphere. Alta Head Start students at the library got to visit with a special passenger on the bus: Santa Claus.
"The Holiday Bus helps us celebrate with and thank our loyal riders and our community, which so strongly supports us," Dean Harris, executive director of WRTA, said in a news release.
The Holiday Bus will travel every WRTA fixed route at least once from Nov. 29 through Christmas Eve, and Santa will be on board for all runs. All rides on the Holiday Bus will be free.
