STRUTHERS — Although the city's Fourth of July parade was canceled this year, AMVETS Post 44, 305 Elm St., still had its post-parade picnic.

The organization, with the help of children who attended the event, also planted a small "Victory Garden" at the back of its property, and more space is available for others interested in planting.
