Valley STEM + ME2 Academy accepting applications for 2020-21

CANFIELD — Enrollment is open for incoming ninth- and 10th-grade students interested in applying to the Valley STEM + ME2 Academy for the 2020-21 school year.

The 7,500-square-foot lab at Mahoning County Career &Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road, utilizes problem-based learning based on STEM principles.

The academy's mission is to prepare students to compete in the global economy while nurturing the characteristics of discovery, invention, application and entrepreneurship.

Valley STEM accepts students from Mahoning County and surrounding areas, and a limited number of spots are available.
